Therefore shall they never find peace…

The temptations of love and lust brought the two hundred Watchers together. When they decided earthly possessions were more important than divine instruction, they were bound to each other, and the Earth, forever as punishment.

Exhausted in heart and soul, he lives to fight the Nephilim and atone for his disgrace, his only objective to rid the Earth of evil. Until the day he meets her. Evelyn, the human woman who shouldn’t have survived, who can see things she shouldn’t, who makes him want things he’s sworn not to desire again.

Face to face with evil, Evelyn finally has to accept there is more on earth than mere humans when she becomes the target of an immortal malevolence. Saved by an avenging angel with eyes dark as night and remorse to match, she finds herself in the middle of a fight she may not survive.

I enjoyed the book. It's a bit different from her coyote bluff series but good just the same. I love when authors mix it up and give you something different. I already knew the author writes great shifter books and now she gave me something else to look forward to in her writing. I'm definitely excited to see what the author comes up with next. I definitely recommend giving it a read.

Lea lives in Western New York with her hubby, three children, and miscellaneous critters. Before the rugrats, she lived a life of adventure, following her husband all over Europe with the US military. She’s slept in a car outside Paris, drove six hours just to see tulips in the Netherlands, and knocked ash from her shoes at Pompeii. Now she spends her time in life’s adventures at soccer games, PTA meetings and school plays.

Lea has loved reading from a very young age, spending many sleepless nights devouring books. Science fiction and paranormal were her favorite genres to read as a teenager, and that love bled into her adult life. She started writing during a bout of insomnia, to fill time, and found it filled a creative void. Now she communes regularly with the characters in her head and tries not to laugh out loud when they say something funny.

When Lea isn’t reading, writing or corralling kids, she enjoys watching movies and sciencey shows, or just kicking back and listening to some music.

I have been a fan of this series from the start. I think the first two books in the series had more of a scary aspect to it. This one was more of a settling scores and psycho aspect. This does not mean that I liked the book any less. I felt that it was a great addition to this series. Some of the characters showed a lot of growth and strength and some were able to get some closure. I could not put the book down. just like the others this book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I would definitely recommend reading although I would recommend reading the first two books in the series first.

Elizabeth Forter tamed the head of the Russian mafia, Daniil Kozar. Or so she thought. But the mafia has nothing on her parents--the preacher and anti-gun conspirator. The Lion Security team is thrown for a loop when Mr. and Mrs. Forter decided Key West is their next destination to save their daughter from her 'down-slide' into the darker side.

While Elizabeth is busy distracting her overbearing parents...her lover is watching her. Because she lied. And lying to the Russian mafia can only cause groundbreaking shenanigans. The sort of trouble Elizabeth isn't prepared for, ultimately tying her to the gun-waving killers.

Perhaps Elizabeth and Daniil should have watched their backs, instead of each other. Two lovers can be blinded by their own wants. So what happens when the very air you breathe is poisonous? You put on a gas mask...and pray.

I have only read a couple of books by this author but she had me hooked from the first book. I absolutely loved book 1 in this series and this one probably topped it. It was great to see another side to the characters as well as seeing Elizabeth's family come into play. With the addition of her family came lot's of wise advice and humor. I only took a break from reading this book because I literally fell asleep reading. I am very eager to read the next book as this one did end in a cliff-hanger and I am anxious to find out what happens. This is definitely a 5 heart book and I give the author two thumbs up. I feel this series is a must read but you must start with the first book. You will be hooked for sure.
