MoonBound Series by Krystal Shannan and Camryn Rhys books 1-3 with reviews by Samantha

There’s a new threat in town… and she’s sexier and more dangerous than this sheriff can handle.

Small town sheriff, Allan VonBrandt, would like nothing more than to focus only on his work and not on the leggy and irresistible brunette who won’t take no for an answer. But when fate steps in and his inner wolf won’t refuse the magick pull she has on him, Allan must confront his animalistic desires–whether he wants to or not.

Reyna DuBois has never met a man–or wolf–she can’t tame, but Allan just might be the stubborn exception to the rule. Refusing to give up, Reyna enlists the help of her inner wolf to seduce the ever-reluctant sheriff, promising this particular cowboy the ride of his life.

Allan doesn't want a wolf for a mate. He wants a regular human wife. To fit his regular human job. When he see's Reyna, he feels the magick, he just chooses to ignore it. Reyna on the other hand embraces it. She pursues him even though he rejects her time after time. But when he goes too far she may just have to throw in the hat and go home.

My Opinion:

I absolutely adored Reyna. She knew what she wanted and she went for it. This is the first book that starts an amazing series. It's full of steamy interactions between an idiot male with his head up his rear and doesn't realize what he really wants until it's almost too late and a female who knows what she wants and goes for it until she just can't take anymore rejection. My feelings went back and forth throughout this book. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted to strangle Allan, root for them as a couple or wish Reyna's character would find a better guy. I'm normally a big fan of the males in this authors books I really could not get on board with this one though. The saving grace for this book was Reyna's character and the fact that Allan eventually grew a pair and manned up. With that being said I thought that the book was a real page turner and it will definitely keep you interested and I highly recommend reading.

After facing a major blow to her ego, werewolf bodyguard, Aria LeBlanc decides to drown her sorrows in the delectable tastes of renowned chef, Marco DiSanti. But one little taste is not enough–for either of them. As they begin to sample more and more, Aria uncovers the truth about Marco’s past.

As an unbonded and unstable werewolf, Marco worries of getting too close–uncertain of his ability to control himself after shifting. Fearless and courageous, Aria promises to guide him, helping him to confront his past and embrace his future. But can Marco let down his guard and give his body–and soul–to the bodyguard who stole his heart?

I loved this book. I find that books in a series usually get better and better as the series goes on and this one was no exception. I loved both characters. As a female I could definitely relate to Aria's attitude and feelings of betrayal. Marco's character was completely loveable if a little clueless. There's lot's of yumminess and a lot of secrets that lead to a huge scheme that is led by a dangerous opponent that no one is prepared for. I couldn't put this book down and it's one that you just shouldn't pass on. I definitely recommend reading.

Unbonded wolves are unsafe--something Rainer "Rain" DuBois knows all too well. As a former leader of the Black Wolf Rangers, it's his job to find them, protecting packs from all over the country. With a mission to lead a team of enforcers into the heart of Mexico to face off against a madman, nothing can derail him from his goal.

Until he meets Nora Cavanaugh...

Teaming up with Rain is just what Nora needs to escape her relentless and unforgiving family's grip. Always forced to walk the line, Nora craves a little rule-breaking of her own. But working with Rain ignites a magick that Nora thought fizzled out long ago. Giving in to that pull, that familiar and hot sensation, just might put them in more danger than they ever imagined.

This is probably my favorite book in the series so far. I absolutely loved both characters. I love that their attraction for each other is so strong that they can't control themselves around each other. Mind you it might be better if said attraction didn't flare up at the most inopportune times. It added some extra sexiness to the book.

Krystal Shannan, also known as Emma Roman, lives in a sprawling ranch style home with her husband, daughter, and a pack of rescue Basset Hounds. She is an advocate for autism awareness and shares the experiences and adventures she's been through with her daughter whenever she can.

Needless to say, life is never boring when you have an elementary-aged special needs child and half a dozen 4-legged friends roaming the house. They keep her and her husband busy, smiling, and laughing.

Krystal writes magick and Emma doesn't. If you are looking for leisurely-paced sweet romance, her books are probably not for you. However, for those looking for a story filled with adventure, passion, and just enough humor to make you laugh out loud. Welcome home!
