My Review:
HT has done it again. Another series that I can't seem to get enough of. It slowly reels you in and keeps you hooked. Once I got started I couldn't stop. The only life Ariana has ever known has been in the Sphere. The Sphere is run by vampires. Humans are made to make a life changing decision at the age of 13. Become a Vampire when you turn 18, be a breeder, or a feeder. If they don't become a vampire, breed them, or feed them, then they are considered a traitor and killed.
Ariana began to regret her decision to become a vampire and devises a plan that is meant to give her more time to figure things out.
Once I started to get into the story I could very easily place myself or my children in Ariana's place and I couldn't help but root for her. Being able to relate to a character is key for me. Not only was Ariana easy to relate to so were other characters. To me, that is what makes a great story..
I definitely recommend reading.

My Review:

I couldn't wait to dig into the second installment of this series. By the point of the start of this book I am hooked on the series. Now that Ariana helped Devin escape she is in big trouble. She will be executed. We go through the hell that Ariana goes through while imprisoned by The Creed. All while still holding out hope that Devin will be able to help her.
I was on pins and needles during this book. I was upset and angry over what Ariana had to endure, all while, even though Devin was making plans to save her, he was on the outside partying. I'm not so sure I would appreciate the love of my life doing that. But it was yet another emotion that this amazing author was able to bring out in my during the book. I was surprised and happy at a new ally that was brought to light, but still a bit suspicious.
At the end of the book I was left wanting more..... I am now eagerly and semi patiently waiting for the next book.
